St. Peter’s Chelsea presents
THERE IS GOLD IN THE GROUND
Written & performed by Julian Leong
Sd
JUNE 6, 12 & 13
Julian is a New York artist and family man struggling to survive. Faced with marital strife, trials in child-rearing, and a career hitting rock bottom, he discovers something that reignites his dreams and pulls him out of the pit. A genre-bending original show that mixes classical, modern, personal, and poetic forms. Written, directed, and performed by Julian Leong.
Back for a limited run after an enthusiastically received premiere last Fall, There is Gold in the Ground is an intimate solo show that explores faith, art, marriage, and fatherhood through the lens of Shakespearean drama and contemporary theater.
Audience Responses:
“Dynamic, relevant, relatable high art. Brilliant from concept through execution.”
“The sonnet demonstration was one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever heard.”
